Job Summary

Providing critical support as the frontline contact, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator will manage incoming calls using a harm reduction framework while engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be actively using drugs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and respond to incoming hotline calls, offering compassionate assistance and resources
• Engage callers in meaningful conversations to support their needs and encourage access to treatment
• Maintain monthly call requirements to remain active on the hotline team

Required qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator certification
• Experience working with individuals facing addiction or substance use challenges
• Strong communication skills and a calm demeanor in challenging situations
• Commitment to harm reduction principles and saving lives
• Ability to work part-time in a remote environment, with flexibility to meet call requirements
