Job Summary
To support a busy Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Intake Counselor will conduct comprehensive assessments, coordinate patient care, and facilitate scheduling in a fully remote environment without managing a caseload.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Bio-Psychosocial Assessments (BPSAs) for new admissions, readmissions, and existing patients requiring reassessment
- Gather and document clinical, psychosocial, medical, and treatment history information to assess patient needs and determine appropriate care levels
- Coordinate patient placement and follow-up appointments while collaborating with counseling, medical, and administrative teams for a seamless intake process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field preferred
- Active Massachusetts licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, LADC, or CADC is required
- Experience conducting assessments in substance use disorder, behavioral health, or MAT settings preferred
- Strong clinical interviewing and documentation skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and virtual communication platforms
