Massachusetts Licensed Medical Coder

Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time basis, a Massachusetts Licensed Medical Coder will be responsible for coding medical records using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes, ensuring compliance and accuracy while collaborating with clinical staff to maximize revenue.

Key responsibilities:

• Codes various medical records for professional billing, including office, outpatient, and inpatient services
• Prepares and transmits claims using billing software, addressing any coding discrepancies with providers
• Maintains compliance with coding regulations and payer filing deadlines while reporting productivity metrics

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Certifications such as CPC, CCS-P, or CPC-A
• At least 2 years of physician-based coding experience
