Massachusetts Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director for a contract to hire position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily review of home and community-based services to approve or deny appropriate services for members
• Represent the health plan in Board of Hearing cases
• Manage and monitor utilization management, collaborating with Care Management and health services to achieve targets

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral degree
• Active/unrestricted Licensed physician in MA, with the ability to reside anywhere
• Board Certified in an ABMS or AOBMS specialty
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience with knowledge of the managed care industry and Medicaid
• 2+ years of quality management experience
