Massachusetts Licensed PreOp Evaluation Nurse

Job Summary

To ensure patients are medically optimized for surgical procedures, the full-time Massachusetts Licensed PreOp Evaluation Nurse will conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, provide patient education, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough preoperative nursing assessments, including medical history review and medication reconciliation
• Review and ensure completion of all required preoperative testing according to established clinical guidelines
• Provide clear patient education regarding preoperative instructions and coordinate follow-up as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• PACU/PreOp or PreOp evaluation nursing experience required
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
