Massachusetts Licensed Preoperative Nurse

Job Summary

To support patient care, the part-time Remote Massachusetts Licensed Preoperative Nurse will conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, provide patient education, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patients are medically optimized for their scheduled surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough preoperative nursing assessments, including medical history review and medication reconciliation
• Review and ensure completion of all required preoperative testing according to established clinical guidelines
• Provide clear patient education regarding preoperative instructions and coordinate follow-up as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• PACU/PreOp or PreOp evaluation nursing experience required
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
