Job Summary
To support teacher licensure assessments, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Scoring Associate will evaluate test responses from teacher candidates in various subjects, participate in scoring discussions, and maintain scoring standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate responses to test questions by Massachusetts teacher candidates
- Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring activities with other scorers
- Recognize and address various types of bias in scoring and implement strategies to mitigate them
Required qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher
- A current teaching certification in the subject area being scored, with two or more years of recent experience in a public school
- Experience as a college/university faculty member preparing candidates for the subject area
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
