Job Summary
To support the evaluation of teacher candidates, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Scoring Associate will evaluate responses to test questions, participate in scoring discussions, and engage in bias recognition activities while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate responses to test questions by Massachusetts teacher candidates
- Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities with other scorers
- Recognize and discuss various types of bias and implement strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring
Required qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher
- A current teaching certification in the subject area being scored and two or more years of recent experience in a public school
- Experience as a college/university faculty member preparing candidates for the subject area
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
