Massachusetts Licensed Substance Use Counselor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substance Use Disorder Counselor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead individual and group counseling sessions with compassion and professionalism
• Design, manage, and document treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and coordinate aftercare plans

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field or specific credentials (CAC, CAS, CADC, CRC, LADC, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
• Bachelor's Degree holders without credentials are encouraged to apply if committed to obtaining them within 30-60 days
• Relevant experience in addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
• Experience in behavioral health counseling, including individual and group facilitation
• Licenses or certifications must be obtained within 60 days of hire for candidates without a Master's degree
