Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter to join their mortgage loan team.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite loans for soundness, accuracy, and compliance with standards
• Evaluate financial factors such as debt ratios and property valuations
• Coach field personnel and brokers on underwriting issues and make independent judgments on critical matters

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years underwriting experience
• Experience in underwriting FHA loans is preferred
• Extensive understanding of underwriting systems and their components
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced inside sales environment
• Understanding of the legal and regulatory environments affecting real-estate lending
