Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Massachusetts Licensed Underwriter, the candidate will review and underwrite residential mortgage loans remotely, ensuring compliance with federal laws and corporate standards while evaluating various financial factors.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing and underwriting loans for soundness, accuracy, and compliance with standards
• Evaluating financial ratios, credit scores, and property valuations to assess risk
• Coaching field personnel and brokers on technical underwriting issues and solutions

Required qualifications

• Minimum of two years underwriting experience
• Experience in underwriting FHA loans and condominiums (preferred)
• Understanding of legal and regulatory environments affecting real-estate lending
• Proficiency in underwriting systems and computer skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced inside sales environment
