Material Planner

Job Summary

To ensure timely material availability, the full-time remote Material Planner will manage procurement, analyze requisitions, and maintain optimal inventory levels while coordinating with suppliers and production planners.

Key responsibilities

• Perform timely procurement of production and inventory items while ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained
• Analyze requisitions to determine specifications and delivery requirements, recommending suppliers from an approved list
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve supplier-related quality issues and maintain proactive shortage identification

Required qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred
• 2+ years of planner/buyer experience in a manufacturing environment
• APICS (CPIM) or equivalent certification preferred
• Considerable knowledge of industry-related supply base and supplier processes
• Experience with operations, inventory management, and lean manufacturing processes
