Materials Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Materials Engineer to work on materials processing and supply chain development for sodium-cooled fast reactors.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile datasets for material properties and complex mechanical phenomena
• Develop material property correlations and performance models for reactor systems
• Plan and oversee test programs, perform data analysis, and generate technical reports

Required Qualifications and Education

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a Master's degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Solid understanding of metallurgy and processing of ferrous and nonferrous alloys
• General understanding of nuclear reactor design and material impacts is a plus
• Ability to work independently to solve complex problems
• High degree of trust, integrity, and teamwork orientation
