Materials Management Consultant

Job Summary

To support multiple manufacturing operations, the remote Materials Management Consultant will manage production readiness, coordinate materials planning and inventory, and facilitate supplier coordination while ensuring alignment with production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner for production readiness, assessing alignment between production schedules, procurement plans, and inventory levels
• Monitor inventory levels and material consumption to support production requirements and develop contingency plans for potential shortages
• Coordinate production-related requirements with external suppliers and manage change logs for production schedule modifications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or supply chain operations
• Proven experience managing complex production schedules in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of inventory planning and procurement processes
• Advanced Excel skills and experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle
