Mechanical Analysis Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mechanical Analysis Engineer for a remote, contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis for test equipment and components using FEA and hand calculations
• Present analysis results to internal and external stakeholders
• Interface with the mechanical testing teams to ensure test requirements are met

Required Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 5+ years of related experience with a B.S. degree, or 2+ years with an M.S. degree, or 0+ years with a Ph.D. degree
• Proficient in finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis methods
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics and materials failure mechanisms
• Working experience with equipment design and analysis codes and standards such as AISC and ASME BPVC
