Mechanical Claims Adjuster

Job Summary

Utilizing a mechanical background, the remote Mechanical Claims Adjuster will investigate, evaluate, and negotiate vehicle repair claims while managing costs and ensuring accurate coverage determinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adjudicate and authorize claims within designated authority, providing clarity on coverage and financial commitments
• Handle 50-70 inbound calls daily from repair centers and customers, addressing inquiries and providing information on coverage
• Review claims based on diagnostic information from repair facilities, ensuring compliance with established processes and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• 1-2 years of experience at a dealership or independent auto repair shop
• 1-2 years of knowledge in automotive repair procedures, processes, parts, and costs
• Proven success in negotiation and problem-solving
• Familiarity with ProDemand, Alldata, and Carfax is a plus
