Mechanical Claims Adjuster

Job Summary

Utilizing a mechanical background in a professional remote environment, the Mechanical Claims Adjuster will investigate, evaluate, and negotiate vehicle repair claims while managing costs and ensuring accurate coverage determinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adjudicate and authorize claims within dollar-limit authority, providing clarity on coverage and financial commitments
• Handle 50-70 inbound calls daily from repair centers and customers, addressing inquiries and providing information on coverage
• Review claims based on diagnostics from repair facilities and manage workflow to complete requests in accordance with established processes

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• 1-2 years of experience at a dealership and/or independent auto repair shop
• 1-2 years of knowledge in automotive repair procedures, processes, parts, and repair costs
• Proven success in negotiating and problem-solving within the automotive field
• Familiarity with ProDemand, Alldata, and Carfax is a plus; call-center experience is also advantageous
