Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote long-term contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design reactor structures and components from requirements through final design
• Coordinate inputs and requirements from Engineering and Project teams to produce design solutions
• Perform scoping analysis and calculations for design options and manage supplier activities

Required Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of two years of equipment/component design experience; relevant M.S. degree credited as two years of experience
• Exposure to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III
• Experience in finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis methods, particularly with ANSYS
• Familiarity with CAD, preferably SolidWorks
