Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work remotely on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze Heavy Duty and Aeroderivative gas turbine components, focusing on hot gas path and rotor components
• Execute design or evaluation of hardware using sound engineering practices and adhere to business standards
• Participate in technical reviews for design tasks and outputs, following documented processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
• 4 - 8 years of engineering analysis experience
• Experience in designing and analyzing turbine blades, nozzles, and rotors using ANSYS
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably NX
• Basic understanding of engineering principles
