Job Summary
Designing and developing auxiliary systems for turboexpanders and rotating equipment, the full-time Mechanical System Design Engineer will prepare technical documentation, specify equipment, and support project execution while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop auxiliary systems including lubrication and cooling systems, and prepare process flow diagrams and equipment layouts
- Develop technical specifications and evaluate vendor quotations to ensure compatibility of mechanical and control systems
- Support projects from proposal through commissioning, coordinating engineering deliverables and providing technical support during manufacturing and testing
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, particularly with turbomachinery
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, including API and ASME codes, and their application to cryogenic pumps and turboexpander control systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively as a team player
