Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the design and delivery of mechanical systems for data center projects, the fully remote Mechanical Design Engineer will manage HVAC and cooling solutions, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design efforts throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on chilled water systems and air distribution
• Coordinate with various teams to resolve design issues and ensure alignment across disciplines
• Review and manage mechanical design documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on data center mechanical systems
• Revit BIM design experience, particularly with large-scale mechanical rooms and equipment layouts
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the A/E industry, preferably with hyperscale or enterprise data center projects
• Proficiency in data center cooling system design and thermal load calculations using relevant software
• Strong background in the design and commissioning of mission-critical mechanical systems
