Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

Supporting an existing full vehicle design, the remote Mechanical Designer will manage detailed mechanical design updates and improvements, focusing on manufacturability, performance, and integration while utilizing SolidWorks for various fabrication methods.

Key responsibilities

• Support design updates for DFM, weight reduction, and overall product improvement
• Modify and develop components in SolidWorks, including machined parts, sheet metal, and composites
• Perform GD&T analysis and conduct galvanic corrosion assessments for critical interfaces

Required qualifications

• Five or more years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks
• Strong experience with machined parts, sheet metal, or plastic components
• Experience updating existing designs rather than clean-sheet design work
• Working knowledge of GD&T and basic tolerance analysis
• Exposure to aerospace, aviation, or UAS systems is preferred
