Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

Collaborating with the engineering team, the full-time Mechanical Designer will develop engineering design solutions for building projects, ensuring adherence to budget, aesthetic requirements, and applicable codes while working in a flexible environment that allows for remote or onsite work.

Key responsibilities

• Designs building components, integrating architectural design and adhering to jurisdictional requirements
• Evaluates engineering design requirements and creates drawings to support construction projects
• Performs site surveys and field reviews to document existing and new construction conditions accurately

Required qualifications

• Proficient in engineering software, including AutoCAD and Revit MEP
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems and familiarity with architectural design concepts and building codes
• Successfully completed related post-secondary education
• 7-10 years of project work experience in mechanical engineering building systems
• Registration with a relevant professional engineering association is an asset
