Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting various aspects of design lifecycles and production support, the part-time Mechanical Engineer will focus on conceptual and detailed design, engineering drawings, and prototype builds in a remote capacity for a defense-aerospace client.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual and detailed part/assembly design and trade studies
• Create engineering drawings and technical data packages
• Provide engineering support during fabrication and production hardware builds

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
• 4 to 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design or engineering
• Advanced proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and expert-level use of CREO Parametric software
• Extensive experience developing and managing 3D models with proficiency in EPDM Windchill
• Comprehensive understanding and application of GD&T standards
