Job Summary
Supporting various ship programs for the U.S. Navy, the full-time Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering, technical, and logistics support related to non-oily wastewater systems, including designing and testing mechanical equipment and creating documentation for military applications, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Create mechanical designs and drawings for wastewater systems
- Perform obsolescence evaluations and assist in finding replacements for equipment
- Prepare reports and documentation for leadership, ensuring compliance with military specifications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Three years of experience in mechanical/electrical system design, repair, and testing
- Active DoD security clearance at SECRET level or ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Experience with documentation development, including technical manuals and drawings
