Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary
To pioneer next-gen nuclear energy, the contract Mechanical Engineer will work remotely, leading complex structural and dynamic analysis projects while ensuring compliance with ASME BPVC Section III codes and utilizing advanced finite element analyses (FEA) with ANSYS.
Key responsibilities
- Lead structural and dynamic analysis projects for reactors and support structures to ensure compliance with regulatory codes
- Evaluate stresses and fatigue in reactor internals due to mechanical and thermal loadings under various conditions
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support regulatory and design requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in structural analysis
- Expertise in ANSYS FEA and ASME Section III
- Proficiency in programming tools such as MATLAB or Python
- Experience in preparing technical reports and documentation
