Job Summary
To develop and deliver engineering solutions for products operating in high environmental stress conditions, the remote-based Mechanical Engineer for Harsh Environments will design, test, and optimize hardware solutions while collaborating with global teams to ensure performance and reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement mechanical and materials engineering solutions from concept through product release, focusing on reliability in high-stress environments
- Design, develop, test, and document systems, subsystems, and components in line with project goals and industry standards
- Collaborate with global competence communities and research organizations to drive technical innovation and breakthroughs
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing industrial products for high environmental heavy applications
- Strong expertise in materials selection for chemical corrosion resistance
- Hands-on experience with risk assessment and reliability design for harsh operating conditions
- Experience with ATEX certified products is a strong advantage
