Mechanical Engineering Designer (EIT)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Designer (EIT).

Key Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical design of transit stations, tunnels, and maintenance facilities, including HVAC and tunnel ventilation systems
• Assist in preparing contract drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Perform engineering calculations and system modeling under guidance from senior engineers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• EIT certification required; PE licensure a future goal
• 0-5 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally with HVAC or ventilation systems
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and relevant codes (NFPA, ASHRAE, NYC building codes)
• Enthusiasm for learning and working in a collaborative team environment
