Mechanical Estimator

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Mechanical Estimator, the candidate will prepare, review, and present estimates for projects in the nuclear power industry, focusing on construction installation manhour and cost analysis while collaborating with internal teams and acquiring pricing for construction support services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical equipment estimates for complex EPC and bid/build projects
• Analyze drawings and specifications to determine installation quantities and equipment needs
• Present estimates to internal leadership and external clients while collaborating with engineering and construction teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction-related field, or equivalent experience
• 10-15+ years of construction, field, or estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical scopes in large-scale EPC or bid/build projects
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs
• Experience with Bluebeam, Hard Dollar, 3D Lift Plan, and/or SketchUp preferred
