Mechanical Systems Design Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, the successful candidate will lead the design and execution of building automation control systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and schedules while collaborating with project teams throughout the design and installation phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complete Building Management System (BMS) and Building Automation System (BAS) designs based on project specifications and standards
• Serve as the lead design engineer on medium to large projects, managing engineering tasks throughout the design cycle
• Attend and represent the engineering team in customer and project meetings, ensuring effective communication and resolution of project issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related controls industry
• Intermediate knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems, and electronic control systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM coordination tools, and related engineering software
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
