Media Relations Coordinator

Job Summary

To advance animal rights through media engagement, the full-time Media Relations Coordinator will generate media coverage for campaigns, coordinate outreach with media representatives, and develop innovative pitch ideas while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute news releases to generate media coverage for PETA campaigns
• Research and identify suitable local and national media outlets and podcasts for coverage placement
• Represent the organization to the media and stay informed about relevant news stories and PETA's efforts

Required qualifications

• Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of two years of experience in public relations or the media industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of animal rights issues and campaigns
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Commitment to PETA's philosophy and objectives
