Job Summary

A company is looking for a Media Relations Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a comprehensive media strategy that integrates online and offline channels to meet visibility and advocacy goals
• Develop and deepen media relationships, and lead outreach efforts to position the organization as an expert source on progressive economics
• Lead cross-functional efforts to significantly bolster the impact of the organization's work through media relations

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in media relations and/or journalism and communications
• Significant experience managing and mentoring a high-performing team
• Demonstrated ability to develop, pitch, and secure feature coverage in top-tier media
• Proven record of performance in the national and federal media environments
• Familiarity and interest in progressive economic policy
