Medicaid Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the full-time remote Medicaid Billing Specialist will manage billing operations, ensuring efficient claim submissions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with Medicaid guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure a smooth, efficient, and timely claim submission process with minimal denials
• Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals to maximize reimbursement
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide necessary documentation and training for billing processes

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Billing Specialist in a healthcare setting, preferably telehealth
• Deep expertise in Medicaid billing guidelines and state-specific reimbursement rules
• Strong proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding related to abortion services
• Proven experience managing the full claims lifecycle, including submission and appeals
• Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems
