Medicaid Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure timely follow-up on payments and denials, the full-time Medicaid Billing Specialist will manage claims filed to traditional Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care plans, working remotely while documenting actions taken and identifying trends in denials.

Key responsibilities

• Complete timely follow-up of claims according to productivity guidelines
• Review and analyze claim denials to determine the necessity of appeals
• Document all account activity accurately and in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time medical billing experience
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
• Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of computers and related technology
• High school diploma, GED, or significant relevant work experience
