Medicaid Business Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Medicaid Business Analyst will support the implementation of MMIS and Medicaid Pharmacy solutions by translating state and federal policies into system requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary domain subject matter expert (SME), advising on business processes and regulatory impacts
• Lead collaborative requirements and design sessions, ensuring alignment with Medicaid policy and operational needs
• Support testing and operational readiness activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field
• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience with healthcare system implementations, specifically MMIS and Medicaid Pharmacy
• Strong knowledge of state and federal Medicaid policy, regulations, and program rules
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation
• Experience working in SDLC and Agile delivery environments
