Medicaid Workers' Comp Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To achieve maximum reimbursement on zero and underpaid claims, the full-time Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Appeal Medicaid/Workers' Comp Follow-Up Specialist will follow up on appeal statuses with Medicaid and Workers' Comp payors, conducting both online and phone follow-ups in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct online and phone follow-ups on pending appeal responses
• Process all payor responses received from submitted appeals
• Identify, document, and communicate trends in recurring denials while recommending process improvements

Required qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years' experience in medical billing and healthcare revenue cycle environment
• Above average knowledge of Medicaid and Workers' Compensation payor billing guidelines
• Ability to interpret remittance advices/explanation of benefits
• Minimum of one (1) year in a call center environment
• Fluency in English
