Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Specialist 2 responsible for managing healthcare insurance receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services
• Conduct research on unpaid or denied claims and monitor claims for missing information
• Contact payers to secure payment and prepare claims for clinical audit processing

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up
• Experience identifying billing errors and resubmitting claims
• Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and medical business office procedures
• At least two years of experience with accounts receivable software
