Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform all aspects of accounts receivable collection and claims reprocessing
• Audit and resolve accounts with credit and outstanding balances, including necessary rebilling or adjustments
• Respond to patient inquiries and assist with special projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Health Information Management Systems or related field with 1+ years of experience, or Coding/Billing Certification with 2 years of experience, or 5+ years of experience in healthcare billing and collections
• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Codes, Medicare and Medicaid billing rules, and insurance reimbursement methods
• Understanding of the claims appeal process and managed care contracts
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
