Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Audits and resolves accounts with credit and outstanding balances
• Posts payments and adjustments, rebills or adjusts accounts as necessary
• Responds to patient inquiries and collaborates with office managers on data quality

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Health Information Management Systems (or related field) with 1+ years' experience, or Coding Certification/Billing Certificate with 2 years' experience, or 5+ years' experience in healthcare billing
• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Codes, Medicare and Medicaid billing rules
• Understanding of insurance reimbursement methods and claims appeal processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
