Medical Assistant - Remote

Job Summary

To support military communities, the full-time Medical Assistant - Remote will evaluate and process patient health information, conduct reviews of examination documentation, and collaborate with providers and Service Members to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Navigate the electronic medical record system to assess and process patient health information
• Conduct phone interviews with Service Members and Veterans to provide comprehensive examination documentation
• Identify and address emergent behavioral health issues, initiating intervention when necessary

Required qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Training in a medical-related field or equivalent experience
• Ability to type 40 words per minute
• Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record system
• Knowledge of healthcare documentation and medical terminology
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a Public Trust Background Check & Drug Screening
