Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Biller specializing in US healthcare for a remote midshift position.

Key Responsibilities

• Post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts accurately and timely
• Verify insurance filing information and follow up on unpaid claims within the billing cycle
• Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including handling denied claims

Required Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and coding
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid
• Ability to perform eligibility verification and precertification with insurance companies
• Familiarity with posting ERA and EOB from various systems
• Credentialing knowledge is a plus
