Medical Biller

Job Summary

To support a growing billing department, the full-time Medical Biller will manage the submission of medical claims to insurance companies, review unpaid claims, and assist patients with billing inquiries in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Submit medical claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims
• Review and appeal denied claims while processing patient and insurance refund requests
• Assist patients in verifying benefits and applying for payment plans or charity/Medicaid

Required qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in medical billing
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
• Knowledge of chemical dependency and its effects is preferred
