Medical Biller

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and proactive, the remote Medical Biller will manage the timely and accurate billing of medical claims across multiple states, ensuring compliance and maximizing reimbursement opportunities while collaborating closely with the billing and coding team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure billing and insurance follow-up meet performance standards and monitor accounts daily
• Manage claim denials and rejections, and develop communication networks with payers
• Post payments and remittances accurately, identifying discrepancies and billing issues

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare billing or systems
• Associate's degree in healthcare administration or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience working with government payers to resolve reimbursement issues preferred
• Knowledge of CMS, HIPAA, and billing regulations
• Proficiency with billing software such as SAMMS, KIPU, and/or RPMS preferred
