Medical Biller

Job Summary

To support EMS organizations, the full-time Medical Biller will be responsible for researching, coding, and filing accurate claims in a timely manner, with opportunities for hybrid or fully remote work after a 90-day onboarding period.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and code claims with appropriate ICD-10 and HCPC codes while ensuring compliance with payer requirements
• Verify payer information and follow up on rejected and failed claims as needed
• Enter all claims into the billing system and match billed claims against appropriate logs

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of six (6) months of medical billing experience required
• Six months of ICD-10 and HCPC coding experience required
• EMS billing experience preferred
• CAC certification preferred
