Job Summary

Posting medical charges and payments, the full-time Medical Biller will work in a hybrid environment to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims while collaborating with insurance companies and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts accurately
• Verify insurance filing information and follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle
• Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper processing

Required qualifications

• Experience with medical billing and coding practices
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid
• Ability to handle protected health information in compliance with HIPAA
• Familiarity with eligibility verification and denial management processes
• Experience using billing software for claims preparation and submission
