Job Summary

Managing full-cycle accounts receivable and denials, the full-time Medical Biller will post medical charges and payments, verify insurance information, and follow up on unpaid claims in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts accurately and timely
• Verify insurance filing information and follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycles
• Research and appeal denied claims while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations

Required qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and coding, particularly with HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid
• Proficiency in billing software for electronic and paper claim processing
• Knowledge of eligibility verification and precertification processes
• Ability to read superbills and perform charge entry in practice management systems
• Familiarity with denial management and credentialing processes is a plus
