Medical Biller

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Temporary Medical Biller will pursue collection of receivables from third-party and governmental payers, ensuring prompt resolution and payment while maintaining accurate account records.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct continual follow-up on outstanding accounts to facilitate prompt resolution or payment
• Prepare and post necessary adjustments or claim changes on accounts to expedite the collection process
• Analyze payment and contractual amounts on remittances and manage denied claims to ensure appropriate billing

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Hospital Billing, Follow-Up, or Collections
• Strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies and commercial & government payer billing requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends in Managed Care
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in using personal computers and standard office equipment
