Job Summary

As a full-time Medical Biller working remotely, the candidate will manage the submission of medical claims to insurance companies, process unpaid claims, and assist patients with billing inquiries while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Submit medical claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims
• Review and appeal denied claims, ensuring timely processing of patient and insurance refunds
• Assist patients in verifying benefits and applying for charity or Medicaid payment plans

Required qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in medical billing
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
• Knowledge of chemical dependency and its effects is preferred
