Medical Biller

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the part-time Medical Biller will manage claims creation and billing processes remotely, ensuring accurate submission of medical service claims to insurance companies while optimizing charge capture.

Key responsibilities:

• Submit claims to insurance companies on behalf of the organization
• Utilize medical billing software to enter patient demographics, procedures, diagnoses, charges, payments, and balances
• Maintain patient billing records and perform other administrative tasks related to claims and billing as needed

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in medical billing within an inpatient setting
• Knowledge of critical care billing codes and experience with telemedicine
• Proficiency in medical billing software, preferably Athelas Insights
• Associates Degree preferred
