Medical Biller for Home Health

Job Summary

To ensure timely reimbursement for home health services, the full-time Medical Biller for Home Health will accurately prepare, submit, and follow up on claims to insurance companies and government payers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with billing codes and regulations
• Monitor claim status, follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and resolve discrepancies and appeals
• Collaborate with office staff and payers to address billing issues and provide clear communication to patients regarding their financial responsibilities

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CPB) is highly desirable
• 1-3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a home health care setting
• Strong knowledge of home health billing codes and insurance reimbursement processes
• Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid billing guidelines specific to home health
